Who is still running Super Clean?

lol - I'm still on SC 1.0.

It does everything I want it to, and none of the new builds have anything new that tempts me.

Who is still running SC 2.9.2 and why? I've read the entire thread on CommRom and every time I think I'm gonna make the move, I pull back. Super Clean just freeking works, period.I have absolutely no problems with SuperClean at all. Even with Landshark's Odin load for CommRom out there, which would make upgrading to CommRom as easy as stealing GunnerMike's pie (and no, I'm not a sheep herder), I still can't convince myself to make the switch.

Just curious if anyone else like me is still hanging on to SuperClean? Thoughts, opinions anyone?

BTW Happy Memorial Day to all, Especially those AC members wearing the uniform.

Mike

still on superclean 2.9.2 but after reading this thread might make the move to communityrom. for me, sc 2.9.2 just worked and i had no issues with battery life, force close, etc.

That is why I hung on sooo long to SC292.I made the move after I started this thread (especially after GunnerMike's brow beating:D) and everything is good. Just go over to Landshark's sticky on Odin loads and you find everything you need. Took me all of twenty minutes during lunch at work to upgrade. The phone didn't miss a beat. The only thing I lost was the nuance voice commands and there is link for that in the ComROM thread. I just got 3 words fer ya.....

GO FOR IT!

You may want to hold off on that jaekim. Nitsuj17 just posted on twitter they were going to release Comm ROM 2.0 to the testers today. If that's the case and everything works, it may be released to everyone as soon as this weekend.

Of course they will. I just moved to CR 1.3 yesterday. :)

And if anyone needs rain let me know and I'll wash my car...

I'm still waiting for the official radio to be released for Froyo, before I consider any updates. Honestly, Superclean 1.0 works fine, does all I want.

Going to take someone coming out with a build that improves battery life to at least 24 hours, for me to update.

Me. I'm still running SC 2.8 with Super Dark and I've had no problems ever since. I get great battery life too. No point in upgrading unless there is something worth upgrading for

I think it was sharkie that has a thread around here on how to go from di01 to ed03, so the radio is here....

If your gonna wait for the battery life to get to 24 hours, I think your going to be waiting a few phones...

Even if 2.0 comes out, I'll wait and monitor the COMROM thread to see if any issues appear.

I hope it is a new thread, that other one needs to be nuked from orbit to be sure it is gone for good

I think it should be a new thread as it will be a major revision at 2.0.

Then again, I am not the expert here. (But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night)

I know nitsuj17 posted in the XDA Comm ROM thread and may have put the same info in the Comm ROM thread here. They are going to start a whole new thread and it is going to have a different layout. One post will detail everything that is in the ROM and have a changelog, one post will have FAQ's, one post will have installation instructions, and one post will have the actual files.

I like the sound of this...thanks for the info LS. Will there be any info on how one will upgrade from your 1.3 Odin loadset?

I'm still running SC 2.9.2..I'm hesitant to go to CommRom because I like the way my phone is now.

I think I'm hesitant to move as well because it means learning how to flash and wipe everything (again, I realize it isnt that complicated either, but just lazy I guess)

The installation instructions in the thread will get you to Comm ROM 2.0 pretty much no matter where you are starting from. It doesn't matter if you got to 1.3 using one of the ODIN packages, you will still be able to follow the instructions in the thread and upgrade to 2.0 by flashing the ROM in ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM.) It will take a few days after the official release of 2.0 for me to put together, test, and release the ODIN packages for 2.0.

Now that I am running ComRom, I'm sure the upgrade will be much easier. As I recall, it took a couple of weeks for the ComROM 1.3 Odin package you created. IMHO, that was definitely worth the wait. If it only takes you a few days to biuld the 2.0 Odin set, I'll wait. It will be worth it. I can take my time and see what everyone else is experiencing in the 2.0 thread the day it hits the streets.

Then again, GunnerMike might just laugh at me some more and pressure me into the 2.0 upgrade early:p

This is exactly how this thread got started in the first place, I was fat, dumb and happy running SC292.
I hadn't done any flashing (of my phone) in quite a while, so I posed the question here. I made the move right after memorial day. Let me tell you, this is a great ROM. I didn't lose any of my settings. Go over to the sticky by Landshark and the downloads for ComROM and the ClockworkMod fix are there, plus all the instructions, step by step to flash the ROM. It took me all of 20 minutes and I haven't flash anything in months. Go for it, you won't regret it.

Thanks for the info. I've looked over the general procedure and downloaded the files. What I'm confused on is whether the "debloated" and then comrom are the same or different? Do you use the "Debloated" then put the ComRom on top of it?

I'm kinda confused..

I think the debloat is a Froyo load. I used the ComROM file. But landshark is the expert here and I' m sure he is not swimming far off the beach. What say you, Sharky?
