Who is still using their Galaxy S5 "naked" and why?

Couldn't imagine going with out a case for my phone. Too many things can happen and not necessarily you being careless and dropping your phone. I've seen someones phone accidentally knocked out of their hands by someone passing next to them and even a guy at work dropping his phone due to tripping up on a carpet. And don't get me started on kids!! yessshh!! I really love the look of the s5 but I'm not willing to take the risk. Oh and it also helps when I'm looking to sell my phone. Get a good price cause it looks like brand new!

Do you have a link for the bumper you use?

I want to get a bumper case but not one of those cheap crappy silicone ones.

I can't find the exact one I had but it's the same as the ones in that link, except mine has 'Lovemei' written on the side. THey are otherwise the same though - I bought a red one and think I might buy a few more colours now

Hummm, that's not the HD version of the Zagg invisible Shield. If you're not satisfied with the screen quality, maybe they'll let you exchange it.

You right, but for $12 at Sam's Club I think it was a good deal.

I haven't install it just yet, but a coworker has it on his phone and it's still pretty good.

It's there a lot of difference between the original and the HD?

Personally, I dislike cases for phones in general. Putting a piece of plastic over my beautiful smartphone just doesn't make any sense most of the time. I do own a case and will put it on if I am going hiking or something along those lines. I work in IT so 5 days out of the week, my phone sits at my desk unless I am on it. I did get a Zagg glass screen protector on it.

That's how I feel!
But like I said before; in my line of work I have to have protection for my device.

the regular charging cover, I never liked the flip covers. I got mine at the Flagship Samsung Mobile Store in Korea. It should be available on samsung.com

I had the Samsung S-View cover for my GS4 and it was pretty good, no complaints from me.

But in this case, I do want to get just the back with the charging capabilities for my GS5.

I just like it better "naked", but I gotta get a case.

I just installed it on Wednesday night (June 25).
I actually am very happy with it now that is on.
The HD is supposed to be 100% clear and this one is supposed to be only 92% clear.

I put mine in a case...now I have several different cases. It wasn't so much to protect the phone as it is to have it change appearances. I love Spigen cases. I'm using a case made by Verus ( Amazon.com: Galaxy S5 Case, Verus [Aluminum Metal Frame] Samsung Galaxy S5 Metal Case [Iron Shield] [Satin Silver] - Extra Slim Fit Dual Layer Bumper Case - Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, International, and Unlocked - Case for Samsung Galaxy S5 SV ) that I absolutely love. I don't like how the camera protrudes out like it does...that's just asking for trouble down the line so that's one benefit to using a case.

I also got me a heavy duty case with belt clip for work from amazon.
Unfortunately, the belt clip arrived broken so I returned it. Here it is.


So, I got me this case from bestbuy. I really love it, is protecting my phone while been "invisible", so it's like not having a case at all!

I will have to take a picture of the phone in this case with my camera tomorrow so I can post it here.

It already saved my phone from a six foot drop onto concrete last Friday afternoon.

But I work in construction and have had a few close calls, so I guess I will be getting a case pretty soon.

Spigen cases are the best as far as over all value goes for S5 cases. That and a 9H protector you are straight. Cheers

I normally go naked from 2-7 weeks. But working in construction is hard keeping a phone safe all the time.

I use mine naked, I work in an office so its not so bad but I really want a lifeproof case but just haven't sprung for the money yet. I have a body glove case, otterbox defender and commuter but keep taking it off and going in the nude. It just feels right man, it just feels right.

Well, my camera is been used by my sister, thanks to my wife, so, here are the pics of my GS5 with that "naked" case.

They don't do it justice, but believe me, this is the best compromise, my phone is protected and looks like there's no case on it!
