I'm pretty selective in the apps I use and download, and only from the app store. I hate to say it but even apps for the app store can be infected with the most insidious adware.
Recently this add started appearing on the bottom (only of the imgur tab in chrome on my LG Stylo 4) of a tab and even hitting the x won't make it go away. It blocks the "continue browsing" button in the bottom of the page.
If I close the tab and re open it the ad will be gone for a few minutes then just randomly appear.
Searching the running apps (after enabling developer mode) and cached apps, I can't find it's process. I have uninstalled the last 3 apps I put in this phone, unfortunately Android does not totally remove adware when you remove the parent program.
I have also tried deleting the cookies and data of chrome and the add still appears.
When I click the little triangle, it goes to the website www. Youradchoices .com so that is who is responsible. I have considered contacting every company that shows up in the add and letting them know I will not be using them because they are choosing such an invasive and illegitimate platform to advertise on.
Aside from that, and resetting my phone for the third time this month due to adware, is there any way to get rid of the add? I've had almost zero success or help with any of the supposed adware deletion programs in the app store.
