This is one of the lamest attempts at an upgrade much like going from the S23 ultra to the S24 ultra. Same cameras, except for the ultrawide...same exact specs except for a new CPU bc apparently the S24 wasn't fast enough. Still the same UFS 4.0 memory as well as the same 12GB. It's astounding and pathetic Samsung keeps pulling this BS every year and touts more AI junk as a reason to upgrade. Supposedly the S26 will be a lot better upgrade but who even knows now?

I'll take a look at the S26 Ultra for sure, as said in many posts the S25 Ultra this year is mostly about AI and other than that and chipset, not much more.
I do like the S25 Ultra and I don't blame anyone for upgrading from the S24 Ultra, it's a very nice device with its rounder corners and don't forget it's the most powerful thing out there just now but I can't part with my S24 Ultra for it.

I hope the S26u retains the same shape as the s25u and brings back the S pen bluetooth features and has more camera improvements for sure.

Samsung needs to step up on the s26

6200mah battery
50w /80w charging
25w wireless
Bluetooth Spen
Ip69
Stop taking features out
Improve camera (always room for improvement)
Design can be same or change slightly
I agree with all except the design. I don't want a device with curved corners. The square corners are my preference.

The shape is a deal breaker for me. I like the square corners. I want a device that is unique and doesn't look like a Pixel or an iPhone.

Yeah, I don't have any issue with the corners being uncomfortable. The phone is so big, I find that the corner isn't even resting into the palm of my hand. I tend to have the bottom of the phone resting a little on my pinky. I am holding the sides of the phone higher, like choking a baseball bat.

I'm probably off on the year and model, but this somewhat reminds me of the s20u coming out.

The design and phone itself was such a miss that the prequel (S10 5g) ended up being the better buy....or what it the Note 20...lol....you get my point and

I'm not waiting for the S26U, but I know I'm not getting the S25U. the only caveat is if Samsung has some trade-in deals this summer that are so stupid, so ridiculous, that it can't be ignored. but I bet I can ignore it ........we'll see.

What kind of upgrades are you guys expecting year over year?

Just like apple users, years ago they accepted their incremental upgrades. It's time for Samsung users to do the same or just move on to a different manufacturer.

Well, for me. It's a combination of lackadaisicle upgrades and what was taken away.

Same battery
Same camera
No more iconic design
Bt spen gone
Etc.

25U still looks like a great device and I usually always upgrade, but what was taken away/changed was a disappointment.

You're right at this point of the game, these changes will be minimal, but dont compromise a phones features for them either

I'm coming from the S22 Ultra like a lot of people at the end of their 3 year contract. It's a definite upgrade, HOWEVER, the bluetooth S-pen is a massive fail for me..

So, I ended up buying a "renewed" galaxy Ultra watch on Amazon for 369.00 to do what i need to do (stop and start video recording).

I'm not expecting anything. If this year's offering could split the atom I still wouldn't buy it. It's nothing personal or visceral. I'll upgrade when/if there's something meaningful to me. The same goes for the next generation.

This is thanks to the ban of Chinese phones. Pretty much zero competition so they dont even try. Repack and resell lol for several years now. Even for $300 bucks that S25U wouldve cost me, I decided to pass. 1. Obviously its a shtty upgrade and 2. Still cannot get smaller S25 with Ultra specs. AI is fun and some of it is usefull, but thats not enough. I still dont use Google Assistant lol :) maybe only to get weather updates. I just dont see myself using AI anytime soon

I need Ultra specs in smaller body. I tried S25U at BB today.....its just not for me. Even my S24+ feels better in hand although the difference isnt that big. Google got it right this time with Pixel 9 Pro and I'll be using that for the next year or so

Its a shame Samsung tags are not supported with Pixel.....and Google tags are crap lol.

I wouldn't mind it being in a smaller body, I felt the s24u corners digging into my palm so I'm assuming the s25u would be better and lighter

Personally I think that samsung needed to put all their energy into AI this phone cycle to compete with Apple that they couldn't afford to do a big phone upgrade. I think the s26 will blow us away! Some early rumors are suggesting a more mAh, silicone carbon battery with 65w charging. I don't think that a Bluetooth spen will come back anytime soon if at all.
