Who likes their Pixel 2 XL, let's hear about it

Re: 2XL... Who's happy with their phone?

Anyone sporting a screen protector on it? Is it necessary? How easily does it scratch?

So my expectations were a bit low after all the complaints about the phone. I went another route but today I had a chance to check out the Pixel XL 2.

Over all I was pleasantly surprised. The display I was using had 0 blue tint issues. Very fluid. Everything flowed nicely. Snapped a few pics in the store and they seemed good. Just not the best location for a camera test.

I seen nothing that'd put me off of this phone other than the fact that I'm happy with the V30+

Stopped using screen protectors on my phone few years back and never had issues. Probably few months down the line if I hold it direct under bright light and look for microscopic scratches, I might find some I guess but I use a case with raised lip to protect screen when I lay on the table face down etc. I enjoy using my phone without any layer between my fingers and the screen and over the past few years never had major issues with scratch or anything.

I love my 2xl. Switched from a S7edge and glad I did. Spouse just bought a S8plus and I set it up for her. Bixby is not even in the same league as google assistant, and there is just so much crap added on the phone. No problems with mine, has been great.

One week after having received my pre-ordered Pixel 2 XL, I shipped it back in the box and envelope that was supposed to contain my S8+. Once I started reading reports of screen issues with colors, vibrancy, Etc I began to doubt my purchase...Was I wrong in my choice for a $1,000 phone? Subsequently I found myself "looking" for reasons to return it. I did side by side comparisons with my S8+ and convinced myself I would miss the extra screen real estate, Immersive mode, headphone jack, etc. New reports surfaced of possible screen burn in and that was my trigger. No phone is perfect and without it's flaws, but these to me we're just to paramount to justify a $1,000 purchase....So back to Verizon my Pixel went.

Eventually Google got back to the people and reassured everyone they stand behind the product they put out 100%...Going as far as extending warranties to 2 Full Years, and promising a series of firmware updates that should address some if not all of peoples original concerns with the screen, burn in, etc.

I went back to using my S8+ and Immediately began missing my Pixel 2....Active Edge, The best camera I've ever used in a phone, digital audio through USB-C (Yes I know it's not night and day, but it is better than a dated analog jack) The fluidity of the OS, Instant and so smooth, Knowing I'm always first in line for New OS updates features, etc, etc.. I was having serious withdrawals..

Googles swift action and commitment to the line got me back inside Big Red to get her back...

Loved the OG Pix and Loving the Pixel 2 XL even more! I think Google knows what they have in the Pixel line and they know they do software like it's nobody's business. So I believe the line will continue to refine into something truly amazing...Hopefully next years make they push the limits on design.

so, the iPhone 8+ beta had an update where pay by IM was added. so I did the update. after using my 2xl for over a week, the 8+seemed old and outdated. typing on the keyboard was.. blah. and reaching for the non existent finger print on the back was laughable. The 2xl is something else!

My Panda XL got delivered yesterday and I have to say, I'm very impressed with this phone! Display is great imo, very crisp. Minimal blue shift and hardly notice it at all. Tried using it on "saturated mode" but put it on boosted after a while and I love it this way.

Phone is stupid fast and smooth, more so than my original Pixel. No bluetooth issues like some have reported. Streaming and calls work perfectly and assistant fires right up with hey Google command while connected.

Haven't tested the camera much yet but from what I've taken so far in low light, it's definitely the best I've ever used. This phone's a keeper.

My best phone ever was my Nexus 6P, now it's my 2XL. Brilliant upgrade for me, nearly bought a Note 8, pleased I didn't... LOVE IT😍

Loving mine. The fluid software, camera, and updates makes the whole experience second to none.
