Who will be ditching their HTC one M8 for the iPhone 6 ???

Any phone from the m8 will be a downgrade. Except for the camera. Who would want speakers on the back again? Sure iPhone 6 might have some cool hardware, but software wise will be the same experience from 2007. The only phone I will leave the m8 for is the m9.

The M8 is only what? 3 months old? I'd assume most are under contract, or would be spending a boat load to upgrade via Edge. Don't see the point. The M8 has the build quality of an Mac Book Pro with it's unibody metal design. Plus the screen has a much higher DPI than anything Apple has to officer on a phone and makes their "retina" display look like a joke compared. I love my M8. Only upgrade for me would be the M9. Even the Nexus phones have never compared spec wise to any flag ship device.

Having upgraded from the M7 and going from crappy Sprint to the speedy T-Mobile (my experience), I am over the moon at the speed increase, battery increase and overall beauty of the M8 as compared to the M7. Never, would I go to an also ran iphone. Now they are making a bigger screen? Now they are using third party keyboards? Naww! Not buying it.

If I had my 5s I wouldve. Not my m8 tho. The only thing I miss on the iPhone was the group messaging. Other than that I prefer my m8.

Your M8 has group messaging.

I don't think I will. While I do like iPhones and think they're great devices, I do feel like I like the HTC One moreso. The UI, phone design, build, screen, speakers, etc will have me holding on to the One M8.

I do believe that iPhones tend to have better cameras than Android phones, but outside of that, I like the One more.

Just curious, in what aspect do you think the iPhone camera does better?

Nope,I don't think I will be switching to a iPhone any time soon. I will get to play around with one after my son upgrades to one this fall.

It's do out around the same time that the M8 came out, HTC follows a pattern. So I'd say June 2015 for the M9 to be released. And if it's as minor an update from the M7 to M8 I'm not worried being stuck for 2 years with my M8. To me the only major improvement the M8 has (accept for the obvious slight speed increase, etc that's normal) over the M7 are the on screen buttons. With Sense 6 I've noticed it now compliments Android instead of hindering it, now that follows Android guidelines so well.I also love my 128GB Micro SD card, now I can load movies, and as much other media as I want, and with the built in app to SD feature it makes having an SD card even better. Can't wait for 4.4.3, then L. And since the M8 gets 2 years updates we should also get the next major Android release after L as well. Yeah I got off topic big time.

I will never return to apple's grasp!
Even with a jailbroken device iPhone can't even lick the toes of an unrooted android.
Apple restricts so many uses to the iPhone its like actually aitting in jail compared to android.
iTunes sucks and I don't want it on my PC, I will never even touch itunes on a mac with a 10 feet stick!

The way apple pushes updates to older iPhones like 4/4s just in order to bring their functionality down and slow everything else just to make you want to buy a new phone is disgraceful.

I would go back to BlackBerry before I ever drank the Apple juice.

The m8 is bad. I h8 it should've stayed with moto x.

Go home, you're drunk. The M8 shouldn't even be compared to the Moto X. The M8 is on another level. My wife has the Moto X...It works for her, but all she needs is a phone that can call, text and Facebook.

I will likely have both. The larger screen is what I've been waiting for on an iPhone. The speakers on the M8 though will make it tough not to use..
