Are you buying the Nexus 4?

No, but not because of no MicroSD. It's because it's not on Sprint and no LTE.

It's a very tempting phone but since I have a nexus 7 already and I'm in a Wi-FI zone most of the time I don't see any significant benefit in getting the nexus 4.

I see where you are coming from, but that display and that camera might just make pulling the trigger worth it!

In my opinion, this phone looks like an amazing deal. It's cheap, looks great, has awesome specs, the Nexus android experience and a whole lot more. The only thing missing really is storage and LTE. The only real need for LTE , IMO, isn't because it's so important but because more people might buy and/or stop complaining :-)

Judging from this conclusive poll, people are pretty happy about what LG and Google have brought to the table. :D

Yeah Im like 90% sure that I am going to be getting one. And for me that means switching carriers since I am currently a Sprint customer. I have been with Sprint since 2001 and their service over the last few years has just continued to decline. I have been trying to stick it out, first holding out for WiMax and then for LTE but in the mean time their 3G service has just gotten unbelievably bad in my area. The fact that the N4 is not avaliable (not really suprised about it either) on Sprint is probably going to be the last little nudge that I need to finally make the leap to another carrier, and with their discounted SIM only plans TMobile is looking really good right now.

I'm in. Got into the Nexus game with the 7, now going to complete it with the 4. (OK "complete" would be Nexus 10 too but i'm not made of money LOL). Already cleaning up my old iPhone 4 and getting ready by finding equivalent apps for Android. Uploading the music I consider "must have" to my Google play account right now, I'll just use minimal storage for mp3s of any new stuff I want to listen to.

If there had been a sim N7 early on, I might have done that on T-Mo. Still keeping my N7, but it's bigger and according to Arstechnica not even as fast as the LG branded phone running 4.0.4. The N4 is going to rock! Definitely getting one.

I sat down with my other half today and explained to her the savings available to us for going to ST or T-Mo prepaid. She was blown away at how much we are paying and is totally down with me copping the Nexus 4 16GB. Feels good man.

I have an S3, and was guaranteed to buy an unlocked Note 2. However the $350 price point for a 16gb N4 is too much to pass up. I hate losing LTE though because on a good day I pull close to 50-60mbs down. :-/

I'm getting one. I am pretty much content with the Galaxy Nexus, was not interested in upgrading, thought I would pass on this; I was thinking they were going to come in at well over $400... But at $349 I'm in.

But I think the 8GB one is lame.

Now I just hope Google doesn't screw up the launch like they have been known to do.

Not me. If the phone doesn't come to verizon then I'm out. I don't want to pay etf just for a phone. I am happy with the s3. I am curious though about the build quality on a lg nexus as I was never impressed with lg smartphones. Their old school feature phones however always intrigued me.

I really want one. I'm probably going to ditch VZW and my unlimited data plan and go to T-Mobile and get their unlimited data plan.

I'll put a GSM-A Straight Talk sim in this thing and we'll see how it goes.
Me, too. I'm fleeing Trudge for AT&T and was going to get a GS3 and pay $75-$90 per month for LTE which would've been ~$2360 over the term of the contract. With Straight Talk and buying the phone for $350, it would be almost $900 less! HSPA+ is 7 times faster here, so it will be paradise compared to Trudge's slow-ass slow network.

It's sweet too how Beam is now in it's second generation, meaning those who stick with the GNex can still utilize those feature with the Nexus 4. There is always so much long term "betaish" stuff going on with Android, and it's really special to see these products polish and gain depth from the use of the community of Android users. It's like Linux, if Linux ever cared about anyone but itself, LOL! J/P BTW.

I live in an area with excellent LTE coverage. It's difficult deciding whether I want a pure android experience with no contract but lose LTE at the same time.

Is there HSPA+ coverage in your area? I don't think a lot of people realize just how fast HSPA 42 is. You should look into that information a bit, both availability and speeds of that network in your area. Just a suggestion.

Edit: Let me add to this, in honor of responsible recommendations, that if you are grandfathered into VZW UL or something, think long and hard about this, because under that condition it actually may not be worth the switch.

I'm defiantly not getting this why leave sprint if all I pay is 80 bucks a month and has got jb on the s3 and is selling the s3 for 50 bucks on black Friday lol
