California Taxes = $140

Ugh!! If I remember correctly, California is one of the states that charge tax on the full sale amount before the trade-in is taken off. So you're taxed like there isn't a trade-in at all.

Last year was the first year I didn't buy any Samsung products, and it appears I might follow suit this year. It's expensive, and while the trade-in amount is good for the P8P, I don't really want to give it up for a fold.

Yes it's part of the 100. There's also an extra 50 if you order through the app.

I added the items to my order in the app. Then connected to Samsung from Rakuten on a browser....reloaded the cart from the browser and also got 12 percent cash back coming

What was odd was I cancelled my order to change the shipping information today and The case was about 20 dollars less.

Yeah....I figured it would work but it was the first time I tried it.

Pulled the trigger and ordered it. I went through bestbuy so I never have to deal with Samsung customer support ever again.

I will take a small trade in value if it means I never have to worry about my phone being stolen either during delivery or the return process. I dont have to worry abouty trade in being stolen as well.

I had a 2 month fight with them and I even had a video of me boxing the s24u I returned. It took 2 months to get my refund. They claimed I never returned it and then failed to show video proof of it. Still fought me for 2 months.

I currently have the fold 5, but I use the one plus open as my daily device, the one plus open is such a delicious phone btw, just that software is terrible,
Anyhow, of course I couldn't hold back, and I did pre order the fold 6.

I like the form factor of one plus open and currently using pixel fold (moved from Z Fold 3). I realized software plays a key role for this form factor and Samsung is far ahead in the game. I want to go back to z Fold and am trying to convince me to accept the narrow front screen again and the price

Needs to be some major leaps for me to consolder one. Especially in screen durability.

I'm in the minority here but while the aspect ratio is great for multitasking and productivity (maybe games?), it's no better unfortunately for media consumption.
Held my S23 U screen up to a non stretched/zoomed video and my screen was larger.

Not trying to go off topic or start a war here but I think the flips will win out over the folds

I can totally understand the caution and the frustration, it only take one wrong move to make you feel the way you do. I did experienced this when I pre ordered my device and end up getting stole by FedEx employee. And I end up losing promo and Samsung didn't do jack to help me getting another promo deal. I remember skipping my purchase that year.

I'm on the fence as the cover screen still seems a bit narrow and I'm curious to see what the next Pixel Fold brings. That said, am I correct in concluding that trading my F4 now for a F6 will probably be a better "deal" than trading my F4 for the Pixel Fold, for example?

The Samsung software is better and probably what you're used to. Spen may or may not be a factor for you. As far as money I'm not familiar with the Pixel pricing

After playing with the fold 6 at best buy, I have to admit I did the right thing with pre ordering it, it's really nice and premium, much better then the 5, looks like I'll come home to Samsung again
