Whos Getting Watch 5?

Broke down and ordered the pro. Saw one on display at BB and it looked good. Don't think I'll miss the rotating bezel as the inside of the pro bezel has a capacitive sensor which acts as a mechanical bezel would. Only downside is that the watch appears slightly thicker than my GW3. I know the measurements say it's smaller. but I read an article that companies "fudge" their definition of what is included in the thickness measurement. GW5 is not that much thicker though. Mine's also due eod on the 23rd.

If you think the capacitive "bezel" is going to be anywhere near as good as the actual physical rotating one, you're setting yourself up for dissapointment. It's something I can get used to, but comparing them is almost offensive lol.

they seem to be about the same thickness... but the 5 pro looks and feels thicker due to it's design (or lack thereof). It is noticeably lighter on the wrist, though (in a good way).

Yeah, it would not download and install the apps from my 4, despite me restoring a backup.

It also refuses to let me set up Google wallet... I think this is due to a problem on the phone that google introduced when it changed the app from Pay to Wallet... it is very frustrating.

I'm really not the guy to ask for pics... but here are a couple of crappy ones, being as you asked, and most people probably won't go for these bands (the saphire sport band and mustard hybrid leather from my watch 4.as well as a closeup of the watch that reveals "fuzzy" isn't just a name lol).

I was wondering if that would happen. I know it's relatively the same software, but the hardware is different...maybe the settings aren't totally compatible and Samsung didn't want to figure out a way to compensate for those variables, so the easier solution (for them) is to disable the restore from backup option?

I do not use the rotating bezel on my GW3 too much, so I'll not miss it as others may. Lighter *is* better though.

Heh, yeah I'm under no illusions about this. I shall miss the physical bezel. My hope is that the other features - most notably the long battery life and (eventually) the temperature sensor will make up for this. But yes, as you suggest we should hope for the capacitive bezel to be good enough. I don't see it being as good as the physical bezel.

That's good news on the battery life. That's the reason I stuck with the GW3 over the GW4.

Yeah I think the temperature sensor is still awaiting FDA approval (and equivalent approval in other countries). And we know how long that took with the ECG on the Galaxy Watch3. I think by the time it was made available, I was almost about to upgrade to the Watch4.

FedEx shows it arrived on the 20th to the sorting center for my area, but still no updates since 20th.

Shipped on 19th and made it 90% of the way, but I'm afraid FedEx is gonna be FedEx and just sit on it till 8pm tomorrow when they finally decide to deliver.

Yes, mine arrived in the area at 2:10 am today, but still showing it will be delivered tomorrow by 8 pm (FedEx), when it's only 30 mins away at the airport today. I'm sure they are gonna just sit on it until tomorrow, even though today is a weekday and meets Samsung's criteria. :-\

I guess they're being strict with that 2 Day service, regardless of it getting to your final hub early. Shipped on Friday 8/19, so I guess Monday is really the next day, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow, 2 days..

I know it really wasn't worth it but my final price was $85 bucks and I hope to sell that duo charger and maybe my old watch 4 charger I have 2 cause they didn't make me send the charger back when I sent in my Active 2. And now I will use the faster one.

Oh Ok I told my husband about it and he likes his with the bezel. And I'm sure he's fine with his Classic 4 he has the bigger one. When we got our 4's I paid like $80 bucks but his was like $209 and if I trade him in now it'll be $200 and something which is still not bad considering the price.

Last night mine said delivery date 9/30 this am I see a text that says it has shipped and I will get it Thursday already. And I wanted to pick it up at Best Buy on Friday since I had to go there anyway for another pick up but it's all good. Now I can't cancel and change my mind LOL! But I still think for 80 bucks it's not bad. I got to use this $50 promo code I had and I had about $5.00 in reward points. Now to sell the Duo charger and my watch 4 two chargers and I will be good.
