Who's going to give their Honor 8 up for a Honor 9?

I wished that i could follow that mentality, that would save me a lot of money! Unfortunately though i love trying out the latest and greatest and have to pay a pretty penny for it.
I'm with you there. I can't help myself. I love testing out new gear and leaning it. It's fun and exciting. I don't blame you at all. I'm right there with you on that.

I guess it depends on how you look at things. For most, a phone is a utility... Something you use to get a task done. Like what most use a car for. But for me and probably for you, phones are like a hobby.

Well said. That's exactly what they are to me now. It can be an expensive hobby though lol. It has for me lol. I'm sure you feel the same way.

My wallet hates me when I buy a new phone! And sometimes, I hate myself a little.

Brain: You don't technically need a new phone now.
Me: Shut up, Brain. It's been a year and I've been good.
Brain: Actually, it's been eleven months and you've been crying for a new phone for three of those eleven months.

😂

And so it goes.

Lol!!! I totally with you on that man. I can't go 6 months without a change. Actually the Honor 8 lasted the longest for me so far since I started trying android out a little over a year ago. My next device I'm going to get is the Axon 7 I think. For the money you can't beat the specs.

Wow you have a lot more self control than me. Eleven months! That's an eternity for me!

Let me know how you like it. I bought one but cancelled the order because it had issues with Verizon and I didn't need another Wi-Fi only device.

I will let you know. I read only good things about it and I love the all metal build. It's one I'm definitely getting pretty soon probably within a month so I'll keep you updated. I've been wanting to pick one up. I'm getting the grey color.

I love the Axon 7! It's a great device. I'm looking forward to what the Axon 8 is like. I really like my Honor, though - I don't think I can give it up just yet!

Who's going to give their 8 up for a 9?

Can you say this to some of my friends, who sometimes give me the judge-y eye when I buy new technology?

Haha. There's nothing wrong with spending money on technology so long as it doesn't go overboard and and you have enough money to pay bills without going into debt.

Like i said before.... For many of us on this forum, technology is our hobby. We spend time and get enjoyment from it. For others it might be something else. Some things that might help you...some people spend a significant amount of money a year on nails, clothing, shoes, handbags, makeup, Starbucks...

Obviously something like clothes can be necessities but spending thousands on clothes every year goes beyond necessities.

Did you have the Axon 7 before your honor 8? If so how does it compare?

Oh do you have the Axon 7. How is it compared to the honor 8? I miss my honor 8 but I'm holding out for the honor 9 though. Let me know about that Axon 7 if you have it compared to the honor 8 if you don't mind.

Thank you so much! I appreciate you saying that. And you are right: everyone spends money on their own different hobbies. As long as I have enough money for food and bills, it's all good. :)

Dpham and Dconn, I'm sorry that my post was misleading! I've actually never had the Axon 7, but I did do a little bit of research on it when I was deciding on whether or not to get the Honor 8. I was about to pull the trigger on it but the Honor 8 has intrigued me more.

There are a lot of satisfied users here on the forums who really like their Axon 7! I love the design and the look of it, and its specs met my needs perfectly. I know I would've been happy with it had I chosen it.

Well hey, we all spend our money on things we enjoy. I appreciate you guys that change devices often! Reading all your thoughts on phones gives me a better idea of what I want when that time comes!

Yes yes, rationalizing! I like this. 😜😉

Oh I like that... I am taking one for the team! Not sure if i could claim it was a selfless act though!

I was interested in the Axon 7 since it was supposed to work with Verizon but upon further research, there were problems so I decided to pass. Service quality is why I am on Verizon to begin with and a phone with inferior service on Verizon just isn't worth it.

Not an issue for those on GSM carriers though .
