I am in. At least for now (Samsung get rid of that cancel button).
I pre-ordered the 512GB in ceramic white then thought (still not 100%sure) about the frame color. With ceramic white, Samsung shows a rose gold frame. It is not all that clear to see on the pre-order page, but easily can see on Samsung's website when comparing the prism white to ceramic white that it shows a rose gold frame. This I definitely did not want. There are a few ceramic white YouTube videos that do NOT look rose gold though so maybe it's a US thing, not on review units, or just not all that visible.
I really have no idea, but after seeing the ceramic black reviews and a bunch of color comparisons, I really think that the ceramic black IS the best color choice (at least for me). I went with white originally just because I haven't had a white phone in a while and think it would stand out more than black and I read the black was more brown. Without seeing either in person, my choice is definitely the ceramic black. So hoping for the best.
The black, based on videos, is a shifty color it seems (black/gunmetal/silvers/some brown). I will be happy with that. A solid off- black brownish color would suck though, but that doesn't appear to be the case. That's my thoughts/ramblings on the two ceramic colors.
Had to cancel my first order due to credit card declining as fraud (Samsung left the order active, but my credit card company advised to cancel and re-order). I then re-ordered and cancelled again changing my mind from white to black by that time. At that point, the 512GB was a week further out so I said F it and went all in with the 1TB ceramic black with a will arrive by March 8th.
By the time Samsung sent my reservation email, I ended up using that link on this order and got a free wireless charging stand. I am really still struggling to justify 1700+ on a phone... some of my friends cars are $2K (exaggerating, but you get the idea lol).
I have kept this Moto G5 since it was released so will be a HUGE upgrade and will likely keep the S10+ until 5G is around then upgrade to a 5G phone at that point. So originally the 512GB sounded good as I plan on going all out on 4K videos and, with everything else, should really be plenty. I just... am being impatient/impulsive I guess while I talk myself into the 1TB cost.
I doubt there is any "real world" difference with the extra RAM, but have convinced myself that if I do keep this for a while maybe I won't have to deal with the "Samsung phones lag after a few months of use" with the extra RAM available.
Would be nice to have some benchmark testing though comparing this version to the 8GB RAM version, but have yet to see anything and kinda doubt anybody has both versions to even do this testing. Would be really interesting though.
Anyway, since I just made this way too long... yeah I know; TLDR... It is my first Samsung so hoping I'm absolutely thrilled with this phone. Especially for the price!!!
