who's leaving android to iPhone 6 or 6+

Apple made it to easy on android. All these companies don't even have to rush out a new phone to compete haha. A phone from 2012 already has the iPhone 6 beat!

So because you paid $100 on contract that means that the S5 is always $100?
There are plenty of people who buy the iPhone on contract. And there are plenty of people who pay $600 for the S5 outright. You have to compare the contract prices to the contract prices and the full retail prices to the full retail prices. Not what you paid with what people you know paid.

Sorry, my friends who are preordering told me the $499 was with a contract, thus the onfusion. Maybe they're upgrading mid-contract or something.

So yes, in that case the price difference is not significant.

That is only one benchmark. And it's still not 100% confirmed to be the iPhone. In any case, the iPhone 6 is more than likely smoother in real world usage than the S5 :p

Ehhh thats likely, but only because of how the iOS is made to run on the iPhone using less processes at one time compared to Android which runs more processes and background programs at one time

I bet if the S5 and the iPhone 6 both had the same OS and running the same programs, the S5 would run smoother and faster :p

For the 128GB iPhone 6+, it is. But the base model is very similarly priced for both devices

The opening price of the iPhone six is $700
The opening price of the iPhone six plus is $800
Both more expensive than the opening price of the S5-$600

Maybe, but I doubt it. Samsung isn't as good as other OEMs at optimizing their software for their hardware. The Moto X with "worse" specs runs better.
In any case, it's just hypothetical. The iPhone will run better :p

$649 and $749 actually. And on every carrier. The S5 is $600 on Verizon, but $660 on T-Mobile and $650 on Sprint. Couldn't find the ATT outright price.
But the iPhone will sell for considerably more when you want to upgrade in a year

Yeah they're all getting the big one because they all have ginourmous music collections and you can't really add more space later.

I may consider. Checking out the iphone 6+ although I put in a reservation but I may cancel it. Plus I would get it in 3-4 weeks anyways. So I'm waiting for the confirm email.

But who knows I may not end up getting it anyways becuase the iphone 6 and 6+ is kind of ugly

Me, going from gs3 to the 6+, got tired of the instability of android, and getting updates when my carrier decides I should have them! among other issues. Bottom line, I need a device that I don't have to worry about, plus I have other ios decides so it just made too much sense not to leave.

Ordered at like 4 am on pre order day, gotta wait 3 weeks until my 5.5 inch 128gb beast arrives

Well of course a device with better specs will run better than one without great specs when on the same OS. All other things being even of course

Apple did nothing much to iPhone. ...just trying to be S5 and note 3...With less features....right now I am using S5 and limit 1020 loving both my phones...best of both worlds

Wouldn't they use icloud for music? Thought that came out after Amazon and Google brought out theirs (just weeks apart, I think).
I use Amazon Cloud player. Have some on my device, just in case but rarely use it.
Of course I do prefer an sd card, that's one reason I chose the S5.

The specs aren't much better actually. The A7 is about on par with a Snapdragon 801. The S5 has that...Samsung just sucks at optimizing TouchWiz.
