who's leaving android to iPhone 6 or 6+

Lol, sounds like the results are in. The ip6 has terrible battery life, mediocre performance scores and to top it off, they bend in your pocket after a few days. Article and pic related.

I actually get terrific battery life, of course a tall thin device made of aluminum can bend. Mediocre performance? Smoothest device I've ever used, however some apps have crashed, a few of which were never updated when iOS 8 came out.

A lot of these things are pretty overblown, I mean one of these things could explode tomorrow and all of a sudden a report would come out saying "iPhones explode on you if you hold them at a 90 degree angle".

What phone doesn't this type of stuff happen to?

Tests from all reviewers show the GS5 stomping it with over 50% better battery life.

I've tested multitasking and it's still a joke with it's refreshing.

Also, if tons of people are reporting severe bending after JUST A FEW DAYS, so much it's hitting every major news outlet, that's a really bad sign for the long term endurance of the product.

And no, an aluminum device shouldn't bend. Haven't heard about lot's of curved HTC m8s have you?

I can't wait for the special case apple has to send out so it won't bend, lolol.

So because some android phone gets better battery life, the iPhone battery is mediocre?

Not sure what multitasking refresh you're referring to, I've been finding that apps refresh much less often when multitasking than on my iPad Air (leaving an app for a half hour, opening other apps and then coming back to the app being in the same spot I was in before )

Also why would Apple coming out with a preventative case excite you? You don't even own the device.

Not just one, every single Android flagship performed better on battery life. And not just a little better, they stomped the ip6. It's a total joke.

And I'm sure it does refresh less that your other apple device. But not less than Android.

As to the case, I was making a reference to the big rubber cases they had to put out to fix signal issues on the iPhone 4 whenever you held it a little firmly.

And I did own an iPhone 6 for a day. After testing it I gave it to my mother to replace her 4s.

What does one have to do with the other?

That's like saying the iPhone 6 has x megapixel camera, android phone Y doesn't, the android phone sucks ahahhahaha.

It refreshes less than my last android device which is all that matters to me.

I mean come on, this whole phone war thing is so ignorant and childish, as a user of both platforms it just annoys me that people can't talk about one device without talking down another.

No one should be happy about defects in another persons device, that's just flat out weird, especially considering the obvious.

Did anyone really not expect a device that thin and tall to have that reaction to pressure?

Anyway, I keep trying to attach my battery screenshot to this post but tapatalk is having issues at the moment, but I got 8 hours and 4 minutes of use with 21 hours of standby on Sunday with LTE all day.

If that's mediocre, I don't know what say. I had a 7000mah battery in my last android phone and got similar battery life.

The iPhone 6 & 6+ do look nice, but the LG isai FL ( LG G3 in the USA ) has a 5.5 screen but looks nicer and it smaller in size, feels much better in my hand.

The iPhone 6+ is way to big IMHO, LG does it better.

I like the G3 as well,it would have been my choice had I not gotten tired of android. I love the power button on the back and the design.

If you had a 7000mh battery it would have been several inches thick. I think you may possibly be be mistaken, unless you are referring to a large external battery. Also the battery life you listed for your ip6 isn't particularly great. Respectfully, not very good at all. The GS5 can get up 390 hours standby.

And yes, I'm sorry to say it, but I enjoy seeing Apple's device perform poorer than all it's competitors in the market and physically fall apart in less than a week.

Not only do I think they deserve it, for having the gall to sell underpowered, cheap hardware for the price of a real phone, I'm one of those folks who can't look away when they see a trainwreck.

Oh and again, I don't think aluminum devices should bend unless they're very poorly designed. This is my second tall aluminum device in a row (HTC One series) and after putting them through hell, they've never bent in the slightest.

390 hours of standby with 8 hours of use?! Because to be honest, I'm cou do care less about how long my device lasts when I'm not using it!

I don't understand how the iPhone 6 under performs. In both benchmarks and real usage, they do a very good job at pretty much everything. The RAM is the only problem, and problem may be an overstatement. It doesn't matter at all as far as slowdowns and general performance, and only results in a few more app refreshes than it would with more RAM. Hardly "poor performance". The iPhone's hardware is neither underpowered OR cheap.

I fully agree about the bending, and I'm seriously disappointed about this. There probably isn't much more they could have done with this design...so, I think they should have made it thicker, included a bigger batter and removed the protruding camera. Makes a LOT more sense to me.

It was several inches thick, it was from zerolemon

I don't care how many standby hours the gs5 gets, I came from a gs3

That's sad

As for the rest, honestly I don't want to continue talking to someone whose mind set is like yours, too much time in the world to be spending taking to someone who has hate in them.

Enjoy your night bro.

I'm sorry, but that is absolute rubbish. Tests from "all" reviewers?! So you've gone through every batter test, and each shows the S5 having 50% better battery life? That's not what I've seen. In fact, a lot of what I've seen shows about an hours difference, if that.

Also, some tests show it as having better battery than the G3, which also happens to be an Android flagship...stop making up facts and figures for the benefits of your arguments.

I know, I know :D At least someone here has some sense...

I honestly think these forums would be a much better place without these trolls.

Yea I hate trolls on both sides,I don't know why people can't enjoy their device or operating system without talking down another

Well, the android flagships have much better standby time and hours more of regular use under equivalent tests.

Even bgr, which is very pro Apple is quite disappointed. It's just something to think about. I'm not making up figures, feel free to read this article or google some more reviews that compare the ip6 to something other than previous Apple devices.

You are completely making this up. Including your claims of a bunch of Android phones stomping the iPhone on battery life. Why? What are you hoping to accomplish?

As one can see, it seems that Apple has managed to do something quite incredible with battery life. Normally an 1810 mAh battery with 3.82V nominal voltage would be quite a poor performer, but the iPhone 6 is a step above just about every other Android smartphone on the market. The iPhone 6 Plus also has a strong showing, although not quite delivering outrageous levels of battery life the way the Ascend Mate 2 does.

Again though, the S5 got less than an hour more, which isn't 50 percent. And it got more than the G3. Standby personally doesn't matter as much, I know it will give good enough on most devices. The Plus seems to have better battery life too, and I'd be happy with that.

I realise that the 6 doesn't have great battery life though, but it's far from mediocre.

If I'm making it up, read the article listed above. I'd be happy to link more recent articles as well. Please source your chart, I'd like to see where it came from and if it's a actual side by side use test or an automatic benchmark with certain applications. Thanks.

Edit, you sourced it my bad. Let me read it.
