Compared to the S24U, the AI features that were on display in the S25U launch, are there some of those that will NOT make their way to the S24U via One UI 7 updates? It does seem like SOME onboard AI for photos and maybe audio corrections will NOT be on device, but has anyone seen anything clear about truly UNIQUE features that the S25U will have that the S24U will NOT be getting?

my recollection is this sequence of events:

- order confirmed email

- cancel button on order page disappearing

- waiting for credit card charge to appear

- waiting for UPS tracking number

- UPS in possession of item tracking info in tracking results

- track hourly for 2 days!

- is the truck here yet?

- delivery at long last

did i miss anything?
It's either FedEx or UPS. I forget which one and they changed carriers last year!

I'm just now coming here I need to read everyones post been a bit. ButI love my 24U and my husband said can we not spend the money this year do we have to and actually I am not really interested. I don't care for the colors not much difference. I am already on the beta Android 15 One UI 7 but I was curious the price and looked. I get a work discount and it said I could get the buds pro 3 free which I have but my total came to 379.99 minus cash app 10% also. But I like the looks of my Violet 24U and feel like not enough differences. Is the screen bigger? And you get the 512 for the 256 price which is good too.

I would only want to do it cause when I am ready to upgrade it'll be worth more but I don't need it and we love our 24U. But I am anxious also to hear everyone's feedback. I just think their is no need. Every 2 years is what I used to always be used to when I had Sprint LOL! I haven't even told my husband it's out yet but I did sign us up for pre-order though just in case.

They all pretty much do it now, to get your monthly payment down, and to give the appearance of a more reasonably priced plan.

What really ticks me off is that they are giving you $1k trade towards the new phone, but they credit it to you in little crumbs, so that it takes you 3 years to get that full $1K.

This time, I paid off the S24U, trading in directly to Samsung to get the full value upfront, and ATT can go jump in a lake with their triflin' selves.
I don't think they are giving as much for the trade in as the last time either because I still will owe $400 on the new phone, so that including the buyout amount it's definitely not worth it in my eyes.

I just ordered, believe me ain't going to be much of an upgrade but for 397.00 I'm fine with it . If you have an s24u keep it but if you get at a great price why not

I clocked in at $379.99 then get hit by the oHIo sales tax of $83.20
I hate that I have to pay the tax on the trade in , how many times do I have to play that same sales tax.

Still no clue just how much cash back I will get from Rakutan .

Same, good ol' Ohio taxes brought my total to $497. But at least Rakuten for some reason provided the amount earned that same evening I ordered.

Ordered the 512 in the blue. I'm coming from a cracked S22+ and it's time. Got the buds pro for free. I already have a pair but I can use an extra pair for work, I guess.

I need to find a case that I'll be happy with

I'm in. $399.00 plus 14% Rakuten money back and a free Buds 3 Pro for my son on his birthday. The loss of BLE on the S Pen was a consideration but , as others pointed out, there are also other ways to remote shutter the camera which was my primary concern.

Each year I also factor in lost value when I don't trade which would be about $150.00 yearly based on decreasing trade-in year over year.

I don't expect any great shakes over the 24U but it will be fun to play with..

@uvarules: i agree with you. the refinements over the last 2 or so years of what is essentially a small increase in cameras' quality and resolutions and several other details, i.e. power efficiency of the newer chips, etc, are refinements, not quantum jumps.

however, after 2-ish years of refinements, this S25 Ultra will likely feel very premium and be very enjoyable to use!

after all, we've already agreed that we touch/use our phones a ridiculous number of times each day! this should be an object that we really enjoy using. a good place to spend money on something we use so often!

you made a good decision!
