Who's Ordering The S26

Just got a notification from Samsung where they offered me $80 in credit (up from the $30 yesterday)

Reordered the 256GB cobalt violet s26 ultra with the silicone case and screen protector plus used PayPal50 code at check out so came in at less than $400 to upgrade.

Yeah, if it wasn't going to be a present from my husband, I'd probably pass but I don't do purses, shoes or anything like that, I like phones :) I'm still debating. I'm lucky I have the option if I choose to upgrade.

Same I don 't buy fancy purses or shoes and would rather have a phone. As much as I love the 24U I am looking forward to the 26U. I didn't know that one of the on-line exlusive colors was the pink gold like the buds pro4 I got. I have a Violet 24U now and it's too dark. Purple is my favorite color so I hope this ones better but I kind of like the pink gold but not enough to cancel and reorder. I figured up after my discounts and other cash back from an app and Samsung both for buying my friend 2 x 25U on black friday my buds were free so I am good. And I'll have another $25 added to Rakuten for my next payout.

I think I'm leaning towards not getting it. I don't care for the AI stuff and I like my camera on my vivo x200 ultra better. Guess I'll stick with what I have unless a better deal comes around.

I've never thought it makes sense to upgrade a one year old phone unless the changes were major or you can get the upgrade for almost nothing. $500 to go from a 25U to 26U? For privacy screen and call screen and some AI gimmick? Ugh.

Someone had suggested to me on another post but those that really have to upgrade every year, maybe that ATT Next Up plan really works out for $10 a month than $500 every year.
Of course it doesn't make sense, but we are all enthusiasts and do these things whereas the average person most likely won't. I always believed that Samsung comes out with versions yearly not for folks to upgrade each year but to accommodate those that don't. That is, that this phone and it's annual iterations target people who did not just upgrade last year but rather those that upgraded at least 2-3 years before.

I went for the Sky Blue 512gb Ultra and traded my S25 Ultra, got a free clear magnet case and received an email from Samsung just before I ordered of a loyalty offer of £150. No pre order buds or other things this time.
Total to pay after discounts was £330.15 so I am pretty pleased this year.
Did this order go though some I seen elsewhere got cancelled

I went with the 26+ 512gb -blue - don't really care about color since it will be in a case.
I traded in a 24+ for $600. I also got the $50 PayPal discount. I would have gone with a 26u but they are a bit too big for me - I like to carry my phone in my shirt pocket.

Someone told me you check out with paypal to get the $50 is it a paypal thing or Samsung? I tired to google it and said with a paypal mastercard. I was trying to see if I qualified and maybe cancel and re-order and than switch to the pink phone but it my be to much trouble.

My capital one deal this morning was 150 off 600 but I didn't end up pulling the trigger on that. Now the offer is completely gone from my card.

Yeah I'm not going to get the s26 ultra this time around. And the s25 Ultra is now a greasy fingerprint magnet. This is my first time skipping a Ultra since the the Note 7. Just not enough of an upgrade this time around.

I'll be sticking with my pixel 10 XL for a while.
