Who's running Stock/TouchWiz? Why?

I'm actually going to remove Nova tomorrow and try the stock stuff out.

Nova doesn't do anything that stock os can't do too. there's no reason for me to install it. Gestures, shortcuats, and other customization options are already baked in.

Subgrid positioning, launching a second app on swipe of one icon (I do this with Facebook and a few other apps. Tapping the app opens Facebook, swiping it up opens Messenger), use Play Store icon packs, remove all the icon labels in one go on the homescreen, Nova has more gestures actually, able to support ALL apps with unread badges, plus the ability to customize said badges according to your theme design, Sesame shortcuts, change folder icons... A lot more.

You got it backwards. Nova does pretty much everything stock can (except swipe to Bixby home) and more.

I get it some people may not just bother with using a third party though.

I've been using Nova since forever. This is the first time I've stuck with a stock launcher, mostly because Samsung added a 5x6 homescreen instead of their usual 5x5 max (I would use 5x7 with Nova) and because now you can pull down your notifications with a gesture.

It's called Samsung Experience, NOT TouchWiz.

I like stock because it has more features than others. Its smooth and lag free.

I like stock as well but there are a few things that I still enjoy with Nova especially Google Companion, I keep up with most of my news through google now. Yes I could open the app but the ease of swiping right is unmatched. As for lag, I have not had any issues so far on Nova.

I am, just run the pixelized theme over it. Nice and clean.. the bloatware is only going to get in the way of you let it

I'm running the modified pixel launcher from amirzaidi on GitHub. Gives a more stock Android experience. Though TouchWiz had gotten a ton better than it used to be!

I switched immediately to Launcher 10 and didn't look back. Immediately switched to a dark theme too. If I had my way, I'd probably root it and put Ressurection Remix on it.

I understand some of you don't want to be bothered with installing and customizing a launcher ,but to say you get the same things from stock is just asinine, asiten, asieleven. As someone pointed out earlier, the freedom to customize grid size, icon packs from play store, remove labels, add tons of gestures, add google now screen, double tap to sleep and wake, notification badges, the list goes on and on.

Have you tried the Google play Newsstand app? I love it! It seems to be more customizable than Google now with what you can "subscribe" to.... I know it's not available as a quick launch from the home button but I find it to be superior to the news feed on Google Now... :)

Oreo + Samaung is making me want to go back and load Nova Prime. Haven't used Nova since my Note 5. The Badge and notifications are a mess.

I've been a huge fan of Nova Launcher for years. It was the first thing I installed to every phone I've had for the past seven or eight years. However, I decided to give TW a go on my S9+. Actually, I'm very happy with it, and don't really see a reason to turn on Nova Launcher. It only took a couple of days to get used to the change and it works without a hitch. So I salute Samsung.

So much happier now that I'm off the Samsung Experience. As much as I was loving stock for a long time Samsung didn't do a great job with Oreo and their launcher. Nova Prime gave me back what is lacking with badge notifications and then some.

There are a few things that stop me using stock. The widgets I use just take up too much space, unlike on Nova where you can alter the padding and re-size much more accurately. I also really miss the gestures I've setup with Nova.

However, stock allows me to change ALL the icons in one go which is good. You can change them in Nova, but that doesn't change the ones in the edge bar and that really annoys me when they don't match :-)

Mines on stock at the given moment only because Injust got it last night. Updating to Nova very soon.

To me it runs a lot smoother than Nova. It's also more efficient and takes less ram and battery life.
