Does the OC only work when CM7 is installed on the nook and not SD?

I am running CM7 off SD card. would it be worth it?

There are separate versions for eMMC and SD, so be sure to use the correct version.

Thanks

I am currently running CM7 and a dual boot front end from an SD card. I might want to try the overclock this weekend...

Does it help at all with streaming video performance?

I am running CM7 + OC Kernel from EMMC and am able to stream Netflix pretty reasonably all the way down to a max clock frequency of 600Mhz. The video is noticably better at 800 or 1000Mhz but I am testing to see if there is significant battery life savings at 600Mhz than at 1000Mhz. I just got Battery Diviner that will actuall help the analysis over the course of a movie or two.

Every time I flash the 6/18 Dalingrin kernel my Nook hangs at the green cyanogen mod logo screen and says loading. tried it with a few of the recent nightlies and the RC1. Any ideas?
