Why am I getting the error message Unfortunately, Gear2 Plugin has stopped after recent Lollipop update?

Getting: Unfortunately, Gear2 Plugin has stopped after recent Lollipop update.

Also I have my gear 2 neo paired with my Nexus 5.

It actually still gets notifications sort of but I can no longer get into the gear manager. Any attempts get an immediate crash.

I have no idea what to do.

I've got the same problem.
