unfortunately, the phone has stopped working? Gaalaxy Tab 2

My friend gave me her galaxy tab 2 to fix

My friend updated the tablet over the air and its never been connected to a computer

After updating it she got an error on the screen

Unfortunately, Phone has stopped

error message that wont go away it pops up all the time

Shes tried a factory reset and it still comes up

Any idea how to fix this i have had a look for a stock rom but i dont know what one there is as they seems to be a few.

White Samsung Galaxy tab 2 10.1 UK model wifi gt-p5110

i presume its a memory card slot next to the volum button?

how do i find out what csc is and what pda it is so i can get the correct rom downloaded and tried to be put back

i cant see the tablet via kies either but i get the us connecting sound

"White Samsung Galaxy tab 2 10.1 UK model wifi gt-p5110" says it all. The tab does not have data or phone capabilities...

The slot next to the volume button is for a micro SD card. SamMobile will have the correct update provided that you search for the correct Model and region

Go to this website; Firmwares | SamMobile | Page 3

Create an account, search for the model and region then download the OS to you pc. You will also need odin to flash the OS to the tab. Have a look at ibtimes's guides. They are pretty comprehensive and clear

Thankfully I stumbled across someone else that posted about this problem. All they did was open "phone" really fast after clicking okay on the error screen. This didn't work for me the first time but after two or three attempts the error message stopped coming up.

Too good to be true? Yes, but it actually works, haha!

After combing through over a dozen posts for the same problem, I found this one.

Thank you for posting an actual solution Nicklaus! Much appreciated.
