Your device has been modified. Software updates are not availible.

I own a Canadian Rogers SGH-i337M Galaxy S4 and I've rooted this phone from nearby shop a few months ago to remove bloatware from my phone. Now I wanted to update my phone to 5(Lollipop) but whenever I try updating it says Your device has been modified. Software updates are not availible, I'm not having much knowledge about rooting/flash and stuff so please guide me in detail why I'm getting this problem and how can I solve it so I install lollipop update on my phone.

Re: Your device has been modified. Software updates are not availible.

Detail - the phone has been rooted. That's all it takes. (Even if it's no longer rooted. The update is supposed to fail - updating a phone that's been rooted could brick it.)

Flash the stock ROM (look in SamMobile Firmwares for a Rogers ROM for the i337M (the NI2 is the latest one they have, so take that).

Read [Samsung] How to flash Stock ROM via ODIN to learn how to flash the ROM.

Read Backing up an Android Phone - flashing a ROM wipes all your data, downloaded apps, etc.

(You'll have to create a free account on SamMobile to download a file.)

Then the phone will update, probably to 4.4.4, then (after at least 24 hours - you can update only once in 24 hours) to 5.whatever-is-available. (Since 5.0 to 5.0.2 have the memory leak problem, I wouldn't do it until Rogers released 5.1, at least.)
