Why am I not receiving group texts to my Samsung S5 from iPhones?

I switched from an iPhone to the S5 in mid december and have had issues with getting texts. I have read a lot about it, so I shut off iMessage on my mac and even disabled my number with iMessage on Apple's site. However, I am still not receiving some texts from iPhones. If they send a text just to me i get it fine (even though they may have to click send as a text message) but I won't be able to get it in a group text. It is frustrating because I can see some texts but not all of them. This has been happening for over a month now. Does anybody have an idea? I'm becoming quite frustrated.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have any other iOS devices where you might be logged into iMessage? Like an iPad?

Same thinges happened to me. I had to go to the apple site and deactivate the number from apple now all seems well in regular texts except I know I haven't gotten group texts. My mom, sister, and brother are all on iPhones so I feel left out of the loop sometimes.

Same thing happened to me. Over time it worked it self out, give it a few months. I group text several groups often and now I don't miss anything.

Has anyone figured out a solution to this, other than waiting for a few months? I am missing a ton of messages from iphone users. I have also removed my phone number from Apple's list via their website.

Did you ever figure out a solution? I am dealing with the same issue. Any help would be deeply appreciated!

I never completely solved this issue but I did find that my mobile number was also on my iPad for iMessage. After removing that I was able to get messages for most but threads that already existed were still problematic. I tried everything and finally switched back to iOS and IPhone 6+ and have not regretted it. I know our is an iOS issue but I gave up because I needed to text with all users and I just couldn't do that with Samsung/Droid/Verizon combo. Sorry this doesn't solve your issue.

These are actually just terrible phones. I have been having this same problem with no answer in sight. as well as the phone not being able to do screen rotation, pair with my cars bluetooth but iphones can, is constantly telling my I am out of space but have deleted almost everything off of the phone, and the battery dies in an hour. Just a really terrible piece of equipment. I def regret ever switching from iphone.
