Why am I unable to update to 6.0?

Hello guys-

Im new here, I´m from Costa Rica and I have a M9 International Version

Got the phone yersteday and when I try to update to the lastest version android 6.0 I´m getting this



Does anybody know what the problem is and how to fix it? How can I continue with the installation???

It looks like your system isn't running stock HTC build, seems like its been rooted and messed with. You probably need to rollback to a stock HTC rom before trying to update.

Now, I have a 1 year warranty on the phone, should I just return the phone or remove the root with an specialist? Is it a risk to remove the root?

If I were in your situation, I'd hook my phone up to a window PC and follow these instructions. It's official from HTC and gets you running completely stock, updatable, marshmallow.

You may have to use sunshine to s-off your phone(costs $25 dollars but well worth it).
