Why are all of my Husband's txt messages going to the bottom of list?

Why are all of my Husband's text messages sent & recieved always end up at the bottom of the list, when he is the most current? How can I fix this?

AFAIK all sms apps have latest messages at the bottom of the screen. Nothing to fix

Are we talking bottom of the list of message threads?

Or bottom of the list within a message thread?
