Why are all pics MB size?

Is there any way to change settings on s9+ so pics are in KB vs MB which takes of too much storage?

Reduce the quality. Higher quality photos take up more storage. Make them like 3 megapixels only.

And seriously, you got 64,000MB in the phone. Plus you can put an SD card in it.

Welcome to Android Central! Just to be clear -- KB means kilobytes and MB means megabytes. They're just different measures of the same thing, like meters vs kilometers. A 3 MB file would be 3000 KB. Having a file show up in KB would just give you bigger numbers, not save space.
