Why are apps I have "put to sleep", suddenly not & I have to add them to list again?

[Android Central Question]

I put multiple apps to sleep manually on my Samsung S21 plus to conserve my battery. Multiple times I have checked my Device Care due to faster battery drain, to find them all off of the Sleep list. These apps are not on auto update. Any ideas why this happens? Thanks for any help!
