Why are auto response fields missing letters?

My maps app has been shorting some letters in the buttons for some reason.
For example, driving becomes di ing, or skip traffic jam becomes ski ie affic jam.

Recently my messaging app updated and now the auto response buttons are like that too.

I have done the uninstall and re-inspect with no luck.

Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? I'd try a cache partition wipe, if possible, but to tell you how, I need to know which device you have.
