Android Central Question

My internet consuming apps take a while to start up. This is very unusual behaviour. It happens on my mother's phone as well.
The phone works perfectly on mobile data, but on all wifi networks, my apps lag. Apps like Twitter, Chrome, Spotify and Gmail need a while to start up. It's as if they're disconnected from the internet. My Instagram doesn't even fully load in which makes it completely useless.

I have a Samsung Galaxy A51 bought earlier this year, the same thing happened on my old phone, a Samsung Galaxy s6.

This link has good content but it's not helping me. I don't know how to access my router that way. I'm not very tech-savvy. I played around in my phone settings but nothing changed. I had factory reset my old phone but it changed nothing.

If you don't know how to access your router's settings, then it may be hard to troubleshoot the issue. What's the brand and model of your router?

Do we have any guides for tweaking setting on your router and how to access it?

Each router manufacturer will have their own interface, so it's not feasible to have a guide showing specific settings. I tried to describe some of these settings in general in that other guide.

If the OP provides the brand and model of the router then we may be able to provide better help.

Also, OP are you using the 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz channels on your router?

Ok so i entered my IP address into the web browser but it takes me to a bunch of google search results.
In my phone there's a "manage router" option. I clicked it and gives me the dialogue box, I entered the username and password, but it takes me to a red page which says "400 bad request. No request found"
