why can is my email messages not downloading fully after android update xperia z1 compact

Message appears in inbox with no content, says message may be too large - this is not the case when looking at it from another phone....please help so frustrating

Welcome to Android Central!

Try resetting the email app. Go to settings, applications, all apps, find the email app and clear the data. That should reset the app to factory, you might lose your saved emails so I would back them up.
