Why are my emails automatically deleting?

I have had my Droid Turbo 2 for a week and my incoming emails only stay in the In Box for a few minutes, then they are deleted. They do not go to the Trash mail box, they disappear completely. How can I stop them from deleting. I do not see anything in the Settings that would trigger this.

Welcome to Android Central! Which email provider are you using? If you're using their POP3 server (which is my guess), then you could probably avoid this whole issue by changing to the IMAP server. See the difference here: IMAP vs POP3
