Google Apps Crashing/Stopping in Lollipop on Nexus 4`

Hello,

I just downloaded lollipop/Android 5.0 and it worked fine for 2 days. Now google now and google search are stopping immediately after I open them. I have a Nexus 4. Also, my location services can't locate me on maps. Lastly, my texts don't seem to show when they've been sent. Ideas? I force stopped them, uninstalled now, and restored maps to original settings. And my alarms don't make audible sounds.

Any help would be great!

Thank you

Unfortunately, no change. Google play services also crash...

Hmm. I've been seeing a few posts about Nexus 4 issues like this after Lollipop. Try going to Settings>Accounts, remove your Google account, then add it back again.

Ultimately, you might have to try a factory data reset.

Solution that worked for me.
1) Disable the Google Play Services and restore its factory settings.
2) If it doesn't allow you to disable it, deactivate Device manager.
3) Enable Play Services again.

If this doesn't work, try to wipe cache partition and then again repeat the procedure with google services.

This fixed all my app crashes, battery drain and craziness.

Hope it helps!
