Why are my text messages appearing with 3 dots?

Text Appearing With 3 Dots

I recently did a restore on my phone, and now the text has begun to act strangely, some lines of text will appear with three dots at the end.

Like this -> ...

I have screenwriter of the issue but I am currently unable to post it because I don't have 10 posts.

Welcome to Android Central! By restore, do you mean you did a factory reset, then restored the phone from a backup? Do those 3 dots occur only in the texting app, or anywhere you enter text?

Yes, I did a factory reset and restored the phone from a backup.

The issue appears in many apps such as, the status bar, Google Chrome and etc.

Try wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data:

I realize that you just did a factory reset, but I'm not sure if you did anything else afterwards that might have led to this. Wiping the cache partition might not help, but it won't hurt.

I have wiped the cache partition and the issue has not come up yet, I'll let you know if it does.

PS:
Do you know where I could not post a thread pertaining to Google Play?
I having a couple of issues with that too.

I'm not sure what the deal is with the 3 dots. I'll keep an eye out for a solution. Does that only happen in Landscape orientation, or do you also see it in Portrait?
