Why are my videos no longer playing on my Nexus 7 (2013)?

Video no longer plays on Nexus 7 (2013)

Videos used to play on my Nexus 7, but no longer do. I have tried videos on Facebook, You Tube and on CBS. On Facebook, I receive a message "sorry but an unknown error occurred. Cannot play video". No error messages on the others, just won't play.

I have version 4.4.4 and cleared the cache for Facebook and Chrome.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Have you tried clearing the system cache in recovery?

This happened to me the other day too. I just powered down the tablet for about 2 min then turned it back on and it worked again
