Why are my videos sending in such poor quality? (LG G3)

When I first got my phone, I could send pictures and videos with awesome quality.

Now, however, Message+ seems to convert all of the media I send, downgrading the quality big time. The video is especially bad...a tiny frame, pixilated images, audio lags and generally low audio quality. This is even if the video is just 4 seconds or so.

Can I adjust settings somewhere to send nicer videos?

I'm tired of getting "do you have a flip phone?" questions after I send stuff :/

MMS has a size limit of 1.2mb. No matter how large and nice the vid is, as soon as you send it by phone, the vid will get downsized. Nature of the beast.

You can send bigger videos thru e-mail or facebook messenger. You can adjust video quality in camera as well.

Thank you for the responses! Am I just imagining that the quality used to be nicer? Seems like folks with other phones don't seem to have this problem. I guess I'll just have to give up on sending vids through mms.

Follow Up Question: When I use the Camera in Message+, the image always gets squashed before I send it. Is there a way to stop the squash?
