i have never seen a moderator move so many threads in my life....everything i post gets moved!!! its rediculous... first of all the theme i posted was updated, and i didnt know it was in jaekar's sticky... secondly, and most importantly, i wanted to see people's feedback on the theme! i know you are just trying to keep the forum organized, but maybe a little excesive with moving threads around... it actually makes it harder to find something when you have 1 thread with 10000 replies as opposed to a few similar threads with much smaller replies... not too mention, when it is at the top of the page. people can actually see it! who sits here and sifts through all the old posts! geeesh, how frustrating....

Maybe politely send him a message before making a post about it. Mods are volunteers, and just doing the best they can. Probably going to receive much more traction approaching the situation personably rather than publicly.

Very well put

+1 but I do agree with op it gets alittle much at times like I have lost question I have ask and still can't find out what happened on it.

Speaking of finding things, I know I can click on "New Posts" and see what's new, but is there a way to have it show only new posts from the Fascinate forum?

Dizzy, when I can't remember where a question I asked or answered is located, I click on my username in a post and do the "find all posts by..." option. That doesn't solve the all your issues but it helps with finding things.

Hey! I just noticed that if I go into my User CP options I can elect to subscribe to threads that I've posted in. That might help when trying to follow a specific discussion, but probably not if that discussion gets moved.

i know it is just frustrating because this never happened in the droid x forum... literally ever thread i have started was moved... and if i knew who to send a message to i would... i am fairly new to this website / community and i am still learning how it works... all i now is that combining all these threads makes things virtually impossible to find... and i like to visit here, and see whats new, but i would say almost 30% of these threads are moved, that seems a little excessive if you ask me... and i understand it is to keep things organized, but when you have so many posts in one thread it is not fun to sift through... plus i am just aggrevated, having a bad day, sorry but my opinion stands

There have been 3 threads in this section moved since March 11th, so I'm not sure what you are talking about.

Instead of clicking on new posts, come here to the Fascinate forums. I believe it remembers what you have read and what you haven't. If the thread is in bold blue print, there is a new post in that thread you haven't read. If the blue print is thin, no new posts. Then just click on the title of the thread and in the upper left corner of the original post #1, OP as it is referred to, you can click on first unread, and you will be taken to the first new post in that thread you haven't read. The easiest way to learn how to navigate through, read, post, reply, and get the most out of the forums is to do some reading here:

it would have been different if YOU had actually ported the theme.

i didnt know it was in jaekar's sticky...

Bringing this up makes it seem as though you being aware of the WP7 Revolution theme already posted in JaeKar99's thread would have changed your decision to start a new thread, instead posting in JaeKar99's thread. This is contradictory to the rest of your post, so I'm not sure how to address it.

i wanted to see people's feedback on the theme!

The title of your thread "[THEME] WP7 Revolution Port / Updated 03/18/11", as well as the copy and paste from XDA (which confused people and made them think that you were porting the theme, so please clarify next time) made your OP appear as a notification of an update. You did not ask any questions about the theme, nor did you ask for feedback:

this is a very cool theme for anyone who is into the windows phone 7 UI, it is based off of a Launcher 7 style theme but with more mods, runs smooth!!! and a change of pace for those of you who get bored with same old interface...

Thanks to jspidah for a base to work off of and to lucas.scott who took the time to theme this...

Since your thread contained only update information on the theme, it was moved to the thread where theme updates are kept categorized.

I respectfully disagree with you here. JaeKar99 is kind enough to donate his time to keep a list of all available themes in a single post, which makes them much easier to find than even using the search button.

I have no problem with you starting a theme review thread, but please expressly state that that is your intention when you start it, as posts/threads only about theme update information will be moved into JaeKar99's theme thread.

Also in the future, please observe the forum rule:

Do not post complaints about Moderators. All decisions by Android Central staff to delete posts, edit posts, and lock threads, are final and not up for discussion. Send a PM to a Moderator if you have questions about a locked or edited post/thread.

You can PM me if you have questions or need further clarification, thanks.

Anyways, I will be posting an announcement soon, because there are too many threads in this section that should be in the main forum. This forum was created for discussions specifically related to "Rooting, ROM's, and Hacks." If a thread doesn't meet that requirement, it should go in the main forum. Examples of what goes in here:

[Guide] How to Root
[ROM] Superclean 2.9.1 EA15/EB01/EB16 Based
[THEME] WP7 Revolution Port / Updated 03/18/11

Any questions specifically related to these types of threads should be posted in the thread itself. If it doesn't fall in this category it goes in the main forum. Examples of threads like this:

My contacts app disappeared
A list of Froyo apps
Lock-ups and force closing

This is consistent to how XDA and other forums have done it. XDA also has a 10 post minimum in order to start a thread in their hacks forum. We have been very relaxed about this in order to avoid discouraging people to post, but it does lend itself to a messy forum. So, this is why the mods do what they do. They are not meanies, nor are they trying to make your life difficult.

P.S. - I changed your title. :p
