Why are tech writers so misinformed about Nexus 1?

Another point. I switched from verizon to tmobile about a year ago after having been with them for 7 years. Yes, there coverage is amazing, but for a comparable unlimited everything family plan on verizon, I was shelling out an extra 120$ a month. For that, I can drop a couple calls a month and not feel too bad, not to mention the customer service I have experienced is hands down than how I was treated by verizon.

Did google make a mistake going to tmobile?.........uh.........no. Last I checked verizon is gonna get some nexus lovin this spring. An amazing phone on cdma and gsm networks. How is that a mistake? I think apples biggest mistake with the iPhone is the exclusivity contract. Can you imagine how many iPhones would be out there if you could get them on verizon too?

I personally think google is genius. Get the people on the biggest network hungry for the phone by releasing it on a different network and post a "comming spring 2010" spot on the ordering page. Are they even going to need a tv spot to make a killing with the verizon release?

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

i wonder if this thing loads webpages faster on EDGE than the storms s h itty browser does on vz3G thoough. :p

I got a Droid on launch day and returned it on launch day. I've got ocd when it comes to my tech purchases, and something just didn't sit right with the hardware keyboard. I didn't like it, so I didn't use it, and my phone was a tad bit thicker because of it, so I returned it. I know I'm crazy.

When I heard about nexus one I flipped. When it dropped I canceled my Verizon contract and got it. I love my nexus one. Coming off of the BB storm, its the next best thing to sliced bread.

There's only one problem: I bought the phone without ever looking at t mobiles coverage map. Turns out I don't get 3g hardly ever where I'm from. I browse the web a lot in my office, and edge speeds are not cutting mustard. A lack of 3g completely cripples Google navigation. I'm starting to miss Verizon.

As for the biased media, I think it has more to do wth a slavering love affair with Apple's products.

For example, Engadget's video browser test that compared the DROID to the Nexus One to the iPhone was completeley ridiculous. A video response on YouTube (where browser cache was cleared on video [something Engadget neglected to do]) showed the Nexus One beating the iPhone loading Engadget, with the DROID coming in a very close second. iPhone 3G was last (albeit only a fraction of a second slower than the DROID).

But yes, it is ridiculous how prevalent hatred of (really) Android as an OS is in the Tech Media.

Ironically, I typed this on an iPhone.
