Howdy. :)

Today I saw that the little packet of replacement stylus/pen nibs which came with my note 8 has 2 different coloured nibs. Some are white and some are a very light brown or pale pink.

Apart from the colour, is there a difference between these nibs?

Thanks. :)

dark tip is softer and works fine on glass. The white tip is harder and recommended for use on plastic screens.

Ah haaa! Thanks very much for posting. :) I had a feeling there was a reason for the different colours.

I have one of those silicone/film screen protectors. Not the wet applied ones. It's a very soft material but very tough at the same time. Which tip should I use?

Even though I said the white tip should be better on plastic protectors, someone mentioned the dark worked better for them so may depend on protectors... my suggestion is try them both on whatever you’re using and choose which works best for you. Not a big deal to change them.

Yes Don, 'cuz I actually like the light colored harder one on my tempered glass. It slides around the screen easier for drawing and stuff like that. I found the soft, dark one had too much drag! It's personal preference too!

I agree, the light colored one glides so smooth on glass. The dark one had alot of drag and after using the white one, it bothers me to use the dark one. Lol

Dark tip more like a graphite lead pencil.
Gray (or white) tip more like a pen, a roller ball pen tip.
This is just my opinion, not necessarily from Samsung.
But like you guys I prefer the white tip as it slides around much much easier on my tempered glass screen protector. No drag.
