At the end if the day, camera, removable battery and likely more accessories won for me.

I'd like to add SD card reader to that list.
S5: Split screen (will I actually use this feature or is this a gimmick that no one uses?)
Snapdragon 801
Power saving mode with grey scale screen.
Removable battery.
I actually like TW underneath Nova launcher, call me crazy.
New Camera looks sweet.
Headphone jack on top.
SD card.

I am a bit suspicious about the waterproofing... ok if it rains the phone will not be damaged, but is it really possible to use the phone under the water at the swimming pool?
Because it's in (distant) second to the Xperia Z2?
Honestly, I'm going to wait a couple more weeks to see if anything new is learned of the Z2 coming to Verizon. Bigger battery, forward facing speakers, better screen, better camera, 50% more RAM, and completely waterproof...that seems worth tolerating my dying S3 for a little bit longer. However if it really doesn't look like it's going to happen, I guess I'll take the S5 over the M8 due to its better camera, replaceable battery, and water resistance, though the form factor and speakers of the M8 are also attractive. I couldn't care less about a fingerprint scanner or heart rate monitor.
