Why are you getting a Nexus?

Why I'm getting a Nexus -
1. Verizon's Double Data deal
2. Contact points for a drop-in dock. It sounds stupid but I love it.
3. Form/Design - Okay sure it's mostly just a black slab but that subtle curve, the size, smooth rounded edges... I love it
4. Google - Quick updates and only (or at least mostly) the Verizon services I actually want (ie, 4G coverage)
5. Camera looks great and it's something I've really been lacking.

Wish list... Honestly I'm not sure. I don't need removable memory based on my usage, and I don't expect a full-feature camera out of a phone. I'll have to try it myself to see if I need a bigger battery, and same with the size; can't really judge until it comes to everyday use.

Why? So I can finally do what I've been threatening to do for the past several months...throw my OG at the wall or out the window. Can you say "frustrating"?

Actually, I can't do that. Would like to, but probably won't in case I need a backup some day or want to sell it to some antique dealer.

I want a GN because I want a fun phone with a big screen. And because it's got the latest and greatest. The fact that it's a Google phone is also very appealing to me as I like Google.

This will be my first Android phone (smartphone) and I want it to be the best one out. I try to do as much research as I can when I invest money in something like this........that is what led me to Android Central and you good people...:)

Because its more of a change then all the other boring smart phones on the market.

The number one reason and this is all I really need to say: to crush my original droid to pieces.

Because I'm running an ancient OG Motorola Droid, that's prone to taking 5 seconds to load the Home app icons. Because my OG Droid's call quality sucks ass. Because my OG Droid is extremely slow and it has no front-facing camera. Because my OG Droid's headphone jack will sometimes stop music playback. Because it takes 20 seconds to turn on my phone and take a picture and view it in the gallery.

Because the Nexus has nex appeal. It is relatively free of bloatware. It has a slightly curved screen. It has NFC and no camera shutter lag. It has a beautiful screen. It has the latest specs expected of a great high-end smartphone. And it has ice cream sandwiches.

I can't get one because I'm on Sprint, but all of the above. I'm done with Sense and bloatware and nonesense like having Sprint kill gChat on the EVO in favor of Qik video. . I could also use a bigger screen. 4.3 qHD isn't cutting it anymore! Hoping for a SAMOLED + 720p HD display on Sprint!!!!
