Why are you so excited for this Evo?

Wow thats a comment I dont hear very often( you liking Blackberry screen size) but yeah I know what you mean, I think after this phone you wont go back to something smaller, I remember when I first go t my Evo 4G i thoght that thins was HUGE, now I am getting a BIGGER one LOL!

+1 When I got my OG EVO, I had to get something off my Pre and it was miserable.

You will definitely love the screen size!

Are HTC phones easy to root?? Just asking because when the phone isn't supported any longer by the manufacturer, I'll be looking to root it.

Newer HTC phones are NOT easy to root. In fact they have locked bootloaders, you have to do a 'HTC dev unlock' which basically does very little, and true root (S-OFF) is in fact very hard. It will eventually happen though.

I am excited about this phone because it seems HTC is going back what made the EVO a great line, straight up performance and no gimmicks (3d). The kickstand was one of my favorite features and it's back! The fact it is equipped with NFC and latest android makes it more desirable. No need for a Nexus device (sorry not a fan of Samsung) for these features anymore.

+1 I just left a comment on why the 3d was a let down for me and how this transition back to what made the EVO a great phone is in the LTE. Spot on no gimmick bs just straight up a gorgeous screen, great camera, ics, tuned down sense, LTE speeds, great hardware/software etc. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed my 3d but not enough to even last me a year.

One thing is I'm hoping and praying this will get all the dev love that the og EVO had. It had endless choices when it came to roms and tricks. The 3d just didn't cut it for me I alwayssaw myself wanting more with this device. Can't wait to get ny hands on my own EVO LTE next week!!

I agree with the dev comment you made, and I am sure that this phone will be a blockbuster in the dev community, although their will be MORE support for the GS3( due to sales) this phone will be getting some luv as well.

Couldnt agree more! HTC learned its lesson and came back with an BEAST... Samsung you should take note of this. Also Google should be looking elsewhere for the next Nexus, either Motorola, HTC or Sony... but not LG or Sammy.
