Why arent my pictures showing up??

I use the app KeepSafe, and after i export some pictures, I see some pictures show up but I cant see the acutal picture. Its filled with gray and a gallery icon with a exclamation mark. How do i get these photos back? Becuase i dont wanna leave ot up to luck on which ones get erased or not.
