Why can i not change my lock screen photo?

[Android Central Question]

I currently have a LG Stylo 5 phone and was trying to change the lock screen picture I couldn't. I tried both methods 1. Hold down the home screen and go to lock screen settings. This then only gives me the option to use the default wallpapers that are on the phone, not my pictures. 2. Go to gallery then use picture as lock screen. I tried it and it only gives the option to set the main wallpaper.

Welcome to Android Central! What's the current lockscreen wallpaper? Is it a custom one you set a while ago, or is it a default wallpaper?

Try also going to the system settings, then tap Menu>Reset All App Preferences. Now long-press an empty part of the homescreen and select Wallpapers. Does it give you a choice of apps to complete the action?

Is this lg gallery ? Have you tried Google photos and see if shows option to use as lock screen?
