Why can I not find downloaded apps on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3

I have downloaded the Tripit app, bit cannot locate it on my tablet.

I have searched this and other forums and tried all advice found, but nothing shows up.
This included using the app manager, looking for widgets, rebooting, etc.

When I go to the browser bar, my account pops up, but I cannot find it on the tab so that I can put an icon on the home page.

Suggestions welcomed!

If you installed the app, it should be in the app drawer (round icon, 3 rows of 3 dots each).

If you just downloaded the app some some 3rd party source (in other words, not the Play Store), it should be in Downloads. Use a file manager (My files is fine) to find it, then tap the app to install it.

I'm embarrassed to say that I thought it had downloaded, but I was actually working on the net through the tab browser. I have successfully downloaded the app and located it.
Sorry to have wasted your time, I am a newbie to android.
