Why can't I access the phone memory when connected to pc?

[AC Question]

I am using lenovo S820. I got an update and upgraded my phone to kitkat 4.4.2. When I connect my phone to pc via usb cable. I cannot access the internal memory. I got this issue after upgrading. Please help

According to me ...... the memory card (SD) is actually busy with the PC and it cant be used with the phone at that time.....so.....u have the answer..................,,,,,,,,......it also happens to me on my phone with kitkat 4.4.2

I can access my sd card(memory card) from my computer when I connect it but I cannot acces my phone memory or usb memory from my pc.

When you first connect the cable to the pc, change the usb notification to MTP.

Search for new drivers from Lenovo.

Try a different usb port.

Unless you are reading the sd card while still in the device, try another cable.

Make sure Lock Screen security is set to Swipe or None.

Thanks. Now I can access my phone storage as a drive on my pc with MTP option
