Why can't I change the AM/PM indicator for an appointment time in Calendar?

Cannot change the AM/PM indicator for an appointment time in "Calendar"

I have a Verizon Galaxy Note 5 which was updated to Android 6.0.1 on March 6, 2015. I just used the "Calendar" app for the first time since my system update to Marshmello. When I "tap" the AM/PM indicator for an appointment time, nothing happens and the time stays "AM". I had no problems before the system update. How do enter a "PM" time?

On my OEM calendar under ver.6. I scroll the hour window and it automatically sets the AM/PM function.
