Why can't I disable Latitude or Places?

They don't show up under the app list to disable.

That is strange I just checked it my self and its not showing up in the apps list.

Maybe since they are intergrated into ICS?

Latitude and Places are actually builtin to the maps application. The icons are shortcuts to within maps, therefore they don't show up in the app list.
