why can't i end the track on galaxy s4 music app

once i start the track I cannot end it. It is always at the bottom of the screen when I go to the original music app.

Does shutting down the app from "Application manager" stop it? Also when you say "it is always at the bottom of the screen" what do you mean? Like the start/pause/next etc. is there but pausing has no effect?
Can you post any screen shots?
