Why cant i find the File Manager in Android 11

What was your previous device that had a file manager app?

Older Android devices also I have a newer device which the o.s is Android 10 and it has File Manager in it Android 11 does Not

I have there. Young Man file managers None That I find allow you to move files to SD card and\or access it. Boom

I don't know what a Young Man file manager is... never heard of it. But I do know that it's hard for us to follow what you have tried or not tried.

You don't respond to several questions we've asked, and you don't quote the post you are answering so it's really hard to follow.

You did give a 3 "yes" answer post that immediately followed a post I made with 2 questions, and only one of those two was a yes or no question. So that's why it's a bit aggravating to me as well.

I can't read minds, so I can only try to assume what you have attempted with these last few repeating incomplete sentence posts.

Have you downloaded a File manager app as was suggested? And, if you have, are you saying that you don't have access to the SD card?

If that is the case, then it could simply be a permissions issue. Usually, the file manager app would pop up a message that it needs permission to access the SD card, then automatically pull up the Settings > Security > Permissions page for you to toggle file access. Sometimes it just stops and you have to find the permission setting itself for the app to access files. That's where I suggest you look next.

By the way, I would still like to know the answer to my earlier questions - what was the previous device that you used that had a file manager?

You keep saying that "other devices" had them. Great. We acknowledged as much when we told you some manufactures provide their own file manager app, and some just don't. We told you it's not an Android version issue - it's a manufacturer's decision issue.

For android devices, I've only used Samsung phones or Amazon Fire tablets. Samsung always provided their own file manager app - from Android 5 on my son's first Galaxy S2 to my current S20 FE that came with Android 10, updated to 11 and now has 12. The file manager app stayed with it all the way through. But, it's Samsung's own File Manager app.

My Fire Tablets weren't as lucky. Amazon had not provided their tablets with a file manager app out of the box for a long time. You could access the internal file manager going through Settings > Storage, and eventually work your way to a file manager of sorts, but you never had direct access to that. However, in recent OS updates, Amazon finally added a stand-alone file manager app accessed via an icon on the home screen. I think they simply activated the icon to the internal file manager, because it's still rough to use, but is usable. But, none of that has anything to do with the Android version. Amazon uses their own forked version of Android for their Fire OS, and they only recently (for their 2022 models running Fire OS 8) started using open source Android 11.

I did find some information on the tablet you say you have - the Visual Land Prestige Elite. They have a whole bunch of models at all price points. But some do use Android 11 Go Edition. The Go Edition is a stripped down version of Android, specifically made for low spec devices - both phones and tablets. Usually geared for devices with low ram - around 2GB of less. I doubt that Visual Land added any apps beyond the stock apps that comes with the Go Edition, so yeah, that would mean no separate file manager app.

Tried what again -- installed Files by Google?

It's tough for me to comment more, since I don't have an Android Go device to test with. It may just be some limitation with that stripped-down version of Android. Unless you're severely restricted financially, I would avoid Android Go devices unless you just need an extremely basic device for basic tasks. Sorry!:-\

I did look up the tablet maker that the OP has.

Android Tablets

With all those tablet models, I find it weird that most are advertised as running Android 5 (Lollipop), and some with 6 (Marshmallow). It looks like only the 10QH is the one that got Android 11 Go Edition. Other places I've looked, the Go Edition usually does include the Play Store, and the Files app. I guess Visual Land decided against it on their own.

Android go devices and under spec with 2 gb ram or less , I'm sure they missing features or limited what it can do and agree definitely should be avoided if possible.
