Why Can't I Install Apps?

I have 500+mb of free space internally on my phone, but I keep getting g messages that I don't have enough space to install apps. Why is this?

Welcome to the forums. The OS usually reserves a few hundred MB for itself. Do you have any apps that you no longer use? You can uninstall those to make room. Any media, like music, and videos that you don't really need on your phone? There is another way to create some space.

What I do to free up space is go into settings > storage > cashe then clear cashe. I have to do this like every month as there are no apps I can delete & all my pictures, videos & music are on my sd card.
