Android Central Question

The Vikendi update would not install- it kept giving Error Code 492. I tried every troubleshooting tip recommended for this error. I have more than 10 gigs available and a strong wifi connection. I'm running Android 8.0.0. I cleared the data and cache for the Google Play Store, Google Play Services, and Google Play Games. I've restarted my phone multiple times. I've removed my Google accounts and logged back in. I even uninstalled the game but I still get the same error message when trying to install it.

Pubg mobile download from Play Store many times shows error even after download it shows app can't be installed so try to install from third party app Store like aptoid or apkpue

I recently started getting the 492 code also when trying to update some games. All are large updates, if that matters. At first this error was with 2 games I didn't really play anymore, so after trying a few things, I gave up. But now today I am getting the 492 error code when trying to update a game I play every day. My wife also has a V30 and plays the same game, she is also getting the error. When looking in the review section of one of the other games with this issue I saw someone also with a V30 getting the 492 code when updating. It seem to be related to the V30, but I am not sure what the cause is.

I had that recently with PUBGM install only, as all other apps installed properly. Even downloading the apk from another source and it would not install.
I did everything as far as troubleshooting multiple times.. Only to have to perform a factory reset. Then it installed correctly.

I'm having the same problem, I surely don't want to do a factory reset. Anybody find a solution? I have a chicken dinner waiting for me.

I'm not getting this error, so I can only go off what I was finding with Google searches.

The most common suggestion to fix the error 492 was to go into the app manager, select the Google Play app, then first try clearing the app cache. If that doesn't work, try clearing the Google Play app data.

Another common suggestion was if you have the app in question (PUBG Mobile in this case) installed on an SD card. First you'll want to check the card for data corruption. You may have to uninstall the game completely, then reinstall it. If you go this route and it works, I'd also recommend keeping this and all other apps on the internal storage. Moving apps to the SD card has a number of disadvantages, including getting easily corrupted.

MOONCATT, I've tried all of these things except SD card, which I don't have or need. I still have lots of room for this game. Still nothing works.

Ok, finally got PUBG to download with the updates. My phone had been bugging me to install the latest update, which I hate doing because there's usually problems that come with updates in my experiances. So I decided to go on with it, went to the playstore and tried downloading PUBG and it finally worked as it should. Hope this helps everyone.
