Why can't I receive text messages or phone calls?

why can't i receive text messages or phone calls?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6+ Edge.
earlier today I could receive text messages and phone calls, and now I no longer can. I can send messages and call but not receive.
I have tried removing my sim card and restarting my phone, but still not receiving anything.

I'm coming from an iPhone, and had the same issue. I forgot to deactivate iMessage prior to removing my SIM card and moving it over.

I've noticed that calls are hit-and-miss though. I've gotten a few voice mail notifications, without the phone even having rang once while it was in my hands.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you discussed this with your carrier yet? Maybe you need a new SIM.
